Bessemer , Alabama Contract Oct 17, 2023 Networking As a trusted partner, Converge Technology Solutions is helping our client identify, screen and secure a Network Analyst for a 12 month contract assignment. This role is an onsite position (5-days initially for training) and 2-3 days onsite afterwards) in Bessemer, Alabama.
In this role, you will learn to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s on-prem network devices including routers, firewalls, switches and WAPs.
Overview:
You will be working with a senior network engineer on network designs, solution implementation, and operational support of the company’s global network. Your knowledge of switching, routing, wireless technologies, and other network concepts will be critical to learning to design highly available, cost-effective, and scalable solutions that meet the company’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve network and connectivity, focusing on performance and reliability.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain wireless network.
Build proper logging and tracking of error logs for security and compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues using appropriate tools.
Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions.
Provide network technical support and guidance to users.
Maintain all network internet circuits and network vendor relationships.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining networking gear.
Work with security team to harden corporate network security and quickly close vulnerabilities found.
Document changes and procedures, including the network diagrams.
Be a part of the 24x7 emergency on-call and work nights and weekends during maintenance periods and service outages.
Qualifications:
2+ years of strong working experience in a multi-site corporate environment
CCNA Certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Good knowledge of dynamic routing, switching, and wireless technologies
Some knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and one other vendor
2+ years of experience with large enterprise level LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructure
Good understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts
Knowledge of setting up network monitoring and packet capture tools
Excellent communication skills

Atlanta , Georgia Contract Oct 17, 2023 Networking As a trusted partner, Converge Technology Solutions is helping our client identify, screen and secure a full-time Network Engineer to join their team on a Consulting basis. This is a 3-6 month W2 contract position and onsite 5-days at the Perimeter in Atlanta.
Primary Responsibility:
In this role, you will responsible for providing hands-on network engineering for a world-class enterprise network, to include deployment projects and initiatives. You will be ensuring all equipment such as routers, switches and access points are set up correctly and ready for deployment and maintained after installation. Network design and development for future technologies may be needed. Troubleshooting and decision making both with and without team support.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for configuring routers, switches, and access points.
Network design for future enhancement and expansion is possible.
Ensure and validate all network equipment is set up correctly and ready for deployment.
Assists in the staging, configuration and testing of all networks related devices.
Work within a team environment and apply knowledge of IT and network engineering concepts to complete projects and initiatives on time.
Ability to troubleshoot independently in downtime or outage situations.
Ability to operate in remote locations solo to produce full connectivity for users.
Travel requirement: up to 50% for network device deployments
Qualifications & Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience
8 years of experience in Information Technology
5 years of experience in Network Engineering
5 years of experience in Route/Switch Network Support

Cisco ISR Routers
Cisco Catalyst Switches
Cisco ASA/Firepower Firewalls
Cisco Wireless Networks
BGP, EIGRP and OSPF protocols
LAN/WAN cabling to include fiber optic.
