As a trusted partner, Converge Technology Solutions is helping our client identify, screen and secure a full-time, permanent Security Application Support Specialist to join their team. This is a direct-hire/W2 position and 100% remote within the state of Georgia and/or Florida.

In this role, you will be directly responsible for providing support and maintenance across a diverse portfolio of cutting-edge cybersecurity products and services. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a consistent approach to problem solving, enjoy working as part of a team, building relationships, and excited by continuous learning.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform troubleshooting, support, and maintenance activities across a broad Cybersecurity application portfolio, such as:

  • Identity & Access Management, PKI technologies (e.g. Multifactor Authentication tokens, Privilege Access Management, Certificate Management)
  • Endpoint, Email, and Network Security Technologies
  • Zero Trust Network Access
  • Build close relationships with clients by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Working with security vendors to resolve issues related to third-party products and services
  • Identify common issues, determine root cause, provide resolution, and seek continuous improvement
  • Perform application upgrade and maintenance activities
  • Contribute to after-hours support coverage rotation
  • Perform duties in accordance with established ITIL processes

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience including security, infrastructure and/or application development
  • Ideal candidates will have experience and/or general knowledge across several security & technology areas, such as:
  • Digital certificate & PKI concepts
  • Network security technologies (e.g. network firewalls, VPNs, proxies, IDS/IPS, application firewalls)
  • Network technologies (e.g. routers, switches, load balancers)
  • Identity and Access Management, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Directory services
  • Endpoint security
  • Email security
  • N-tier applications, web servers, APIs, databases
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot across different technology stacks
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
  • Extremely high standards for quality of product and service
  • Passion for career growth in Cybersecurity

Other considerations:

  • Previous experience offering support for security applications or services in an enterprise environment
  • Information security related certifications, e.g. CISSP, CISA, GSEC, SSCP, Security+
  • ITIL Foundations or other IT certifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with DevSecOps and Application Performance Monitoring
