As a trusted partner, Converge Technology Solutions is helping our client identify, screen and secure a Scrum Master to join their team as a full-time, permanent employee.  This is primarily a hybrid position with 2-3 days of onsite work in Atlanta, GA. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible to oversee the scrum and development team.  The teams will have a variable schedule managing both the onshore and offshore ceremonies.  You must be a promoter of the Agile methodology and scrum within the organization and take responsibility to educate others.  You will work with both the scrum team and product owner and maintain a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
• Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
• Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
• Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
• Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
• Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
• Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
• Support the product owner and provide education where needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience as the scrum master on a scrum team
• Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
• Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
• Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not
• Experience with successful Agile techniques
• Ability to work with and lead a team
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction

 

Job Requirements (including education)

• 5 - 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master working with both onshore and offshore resources
• Must be a Certified Scrum Master
• Strong understanding of agile methodology and best practices
• Experience in change management and governance
• Project and/or Product Management experience a plus
• Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels 
• Strong data management abilities
